Missy was our Miniature Yorkshire terrier that we bought as a 6 week old puppy for our daughter Sarah when she was just 18 months old and this year Sarah will be 19.
Missy was very old and had not had a good weekend so we decided to take her tonight to the Vet who has put her to sleep.
We will all miss her

I can't tell you how sorry I am, losing an animal is so hard, but I hope you can take comfort in the fact that you had your Missy for a long time, and I am sure you gave her the best possible life, but my thoughts are with you and your family.
I am so very sorry to hear about your poor little Missy. We have lost a few dogs over the years, but only one that we had to make the choice to put to sleep. Oh Maz, I am so sorry you had to make such a hard choice. It is a very hard thing to do I know as I have been in your shoes. I hope you can find another doggie that will bring you and your family as much if not more joy as you had with Missy.
So sorry to hear your news - it's never easy parting with a loved pet as they are so much part of the family. There will be many happy memories that you will be able to call upon once the initial sadness has eased - sending you (((hugs))).

Oh Maz, This is like losing a member of your family isn't it? My heart goes out to you and your family my friend. I had to do this with my dog 2 years ago and I cried for a week about having to make that decision. I will be thinking about you Maz.

Maz, I am so sorry you had to make this hard decision, I know what you are going through, in the past 8 months I had to say good bye to my 2 dogs, 12 & 13 and my horse who was 28, I had my horse for 27 years. Just think Missy is no longer in any pain, I know it does not help much, remember the good times, lots of hugs going out to you.
