365 Cards Day 79 - Monday's Manufacturer

I have seen a lot of Vintage type cards recently but I have to admit it is a style I love to see but have never been very successful in making.

I checked out the challenge on 365 cards today and found out it was to use your favorite manufacturer in the majority of your card, well which one to choose?

There are so many makes of paper out there, Basic Grey is one of my favourite as they all seem to go together no matter which line they are from but one of my favourite ranges is Modern Romance by Daisy D's. I bought these papers as they all have that Vintage look I love so much so with my papers in hand I decided to have another go at Vintage.

Here is my card

To be honest there was no sketch or plan to follow I simply made it up as I went along. I have used 4 different sheets of this paper and have taken the bits off each sheet that I liked the most.
I love the background paper with the script text on it, I love the pink with the subtle colour and distressed look to it, I loved the postcard that was printed onto another sheet so I cut that out and lastly I have cut out some of the design, the bird and butterfly from another sheet.

I have added a layered flower using one of the Pink Blooms sent to me by Rose which is sewn onto a green paper flower and finished off with a button, I added a length of cotton braid and attached a small green button to the end of that and finished it off with a small piece of Pink onto which I have used another favourite, a Basic Grey Rub On which says Traditions.

On the whole I am quite pleased with this as I have managed to stop myself from over doing it, i normally start off wanting to create Vintage and end up with something more modern.

What do you think, do you think it is 'Vintage' enough?
