Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2

I seem to be on a roll with these challenges now.

This is the sketch for the second Challenge at Truly Scrumptious.

This weeks added element is Handmade Buttons made from whatever you want to make them from providing you have made them yourself.

This is my entry; I have followed the sketch and my buttons were cut on my Sizzix die out of shrink plastic. All of the PP are from the Crate paper range called 'Zoom'

I am sure it wont be too hard to find a little boy who will like this one!!

Hope you like it

365 Cards: Day 3 - Tuesday's Trio

So far I am managing to keep up with this challenge but then it is only Day 4 today!

Anyway the Challenge for yesterday was to include a trio of items

Button - Flower - Ribbon
I needed to make a card for my Granddaughters 2nd Birthday and when I saw this stamp it reminded me of her.

I have used Pink Petticoat Dots in Little Fleurs Pink in both positive and negative with the Daisies in Orchid on the inside.

I have cut the shape of a 2 and raised it onto the background card with foam pads. Her name was cut on the Cricut.

The trio is the ribbon on both the teddies neck, tied round the 'B' and the top of the 2, buttons on the little girl's pyjamas and the flowers.

Hope you like it

365 Cards : Day 2 - Less is more

Day 2 brings a new challenge from 365 Cards.

The challenge this time is in the title - Less is more!

You have to make a card using 2 or less embellishments which to most of us is quite a challenge in itself

Here is my entry

I had this piece of pp left from something I made for my Granddaughter for Christmas so used the design on the paper itself to embellish the card. My 2 embellishments are the piece of ribbon and the metal 'Thanks'.

I know same colour scheme as yesterdays challenge but I did this one first and as the stuff was on my desk I took the inspiration from the colours to make the card for day 1 at the same time

Completely different colour scheme for day 3 as it is something for my Granddaughter Bethany's birthday, she is going to be 2

Hope you like it!

365 Cards - Super Sketchy Sunday Challenge #1

The first challenge on 365 cards was to follow this sketch so quite an easy one to start with.

There were some great examples made by the DT

Cupcake Challenge 29 # Inspiration

The Challenge at the Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog was set by Jilly, for this you can make anything but you must take inspiration from the picture, colours, theme etc.

So here is my card, I have used Yellow and Purple which co-ordinate with the colours of the Flag Iris in the picture.

I like the simplicity of this sort of card as it could be used for many different occasions, plain and simple just like me!

This would not be encouraged by a Dentist...

Here is a picture of the surprise that my DIL wanted me to make for my Granddaughter's 13th Birthday and this is what I was waiting for the BBQ skewers for

It is a Candy Bouquet which is made using all the sweets that Amy loves. We thought about flowers but then decided she would enjoy this more. I cant wait to see her face when she gets it.

I must admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed making this, I can see a few of these being made a presents for Birthday parties; just a little smaller though.

What do you think?

Colour Create Challenge

This weeks Colour Create challenge is Blue and Brown with the added option of using Lace and Pearls.
My first thought was that the papers I had would make quite a masculine card and then how do you add both Lace and Pearls, so this one left me a little stumped for a while until I came across the image of the little house. The sentiment is one that is on a painted wooden house made for me by Jo Rowarth at our local crop.

I think this is one of the nicest cards I have made so far.

And another one...

This is for the challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar. The challenge this week is Shape Shifters.
You have to make a shaped card and as the prize for this is some lovely Easter stamps I thought I would make another easter card.
Here is my attempt

Hope you like it..

Blog Challenges again!

To be honest I didnt get much crafting time yesterday as we had family for dinner so after they had all gone home I set about some of the challenges I wanted to do.

This is the sketch for the very first challenge on Truly Scrumptious

Here is my entry

I will also be entering this for the Cute Card Thursday challenge #49 for which the theme is Animals, are Rocking Horses classed as Animals? I think so!
