365 Cards - Day 33 - White Space

To start this post I want to tell you about a prize I have won over at 365 Cards, everyone that had completed cards for the whole month was put in a hat and the winner was drawn, this months winner was Joann. Take a look at the wonderful cards she has made on her blog.

My prize is this

A gorgeous package of the glazed brads from Basic Grey's Marrakech line that is featured in the April kit over at Mackenzie Mae Card kits ,

All I had to do was enter yesterdays challenge at 365 Cards and leave a post on the card kit blog, how easy was that to win such a wonderful prize.

Right onto today's challenge at 365 Cards - White Space

Today's challenge is based on something I've seen done a lot in scrapbooking. I would like to see you use only the top 1/3 or the bottom 1/3 of your card, leaving the other 2/3 blank. For some (like me) this can be quite a challenge because we looooooooove our embellishments.

I knew this one would be ok for me as I love to see white space on a card so here is my card/s. As I decided on a Baby card I thought I would make a Blue one and a Pink one of the same design.

I embossed the bottom of the card using my Swiss Dots folder then added 2 score lines with my Scorepal, the ribbon was added at the top of the embossing so as not to cover the score lines.

I stamped the baby feet onto white card then mounted them onto the pale Pink/Blue which has been cut using the scalloped circle nestabilities, this layer was mounted onto another circle of white card using 3D pads and matted onto the dark Pink/Blue which was cut using the next size up scalloped circle.

Hope you like them
